Texas mineral-rights owners and JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) have reached a consensus regarding the lawsuit filed earlier against the investment firm for entering underpriced drilling contracts with oil companies. The oil companies will have to compensate the miner-rights owners by paying $681 million for drilling in Eagle Ford Shale.
